Proposals should be for ‘one-night-only’ or short events, and will be considered without restriction on visual media or artform practice.  Proposals need not be limited to the contemporary visual arts as all proposals will be considered.

Applicants are advised to take the properties of the space into account when formulating proposals.

Gallery Properties:
The Gallery occupies a disused bank vault beneath a bar in Lancaster City Centre.  The Space is approximately 7x3.8m in area and 2.3m in height.  The Walls are solid brick, with floor and ceiling in concrete (all painted white).  Lighting is variable through small spotlights, temporary fluorescent tubing may be made available also. 

There are two large safes in the space, one of which is available for artist use (internal dimensions approx: 52(d) x 52(w) x 86(h) cm). 

The Acoustics of the space are somewhat ‘unique’ as the solid walls create large and recurrent echoes (to be taken into consideration for proposals including audio).  Access to the space will be made available to agreement.
