Eastham’s ‘Deconstructed landscapes’ are an investigation into traditional landscape formation and juxtapose English romantic landscape painting against science-fiction images and book covers.

The dense and intensely intricate collages cut away and layer in order to reveal; forming investigations into fabricated sentimentality and ‘national identity’.

Her fictive landscapes deconstruct the traditional models they reference and explore the structures of landscape idealism.

‘Soul Satisfied’ runs from the 6th-21st February 2009, with the preview taking place Thursday 5th February 2009, 6:30-9:30pm.
