The VAULT continues its artistic programme with Liverpool-based Installation-artist Richard Proffitt. In direct response to the VAULT space, Proffitt presents a unique and un-replicable collection of works; a gathering of rotten, filthy, but strangely beautiful works formed from shards of wood and glorified detritus- evoking notions of faux-relics and totemic gems of a forgotten past. 

Proffitt adorns everyday items with nail varnishes, blu-tack, metallic paints, feathers and biro drawings to purposefully engender modern tribal pasts without consistent trajectory- generating narrative room for jokes, indecisiveness and false histories for the viewer.

‘Sundowner’ runs at the VAULT from 6th-22nd November 2008.  The Preview takes place Thursday 6th November; 6:30-9:30pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
